What to expect

The vasectomy consultation is typically done as a group counselling session, with other men present during the information session. During the vasectomy consult, you will meet with Dr. Connolly and she will explain the procedure, risks and benefits. After the group information session, Dr. Connolly will perform a scrotal exam to determine if you are a candidate for this procedure. If you are considered a candidate, you can proceed to book your procedure after the consultation. What is the cost? Because vasectomy is fully covered by OHIP, there is no cost for the procedure, nor the consult. Any costs associated with off-work letters, work-related forms, or pre-vasectomy and post-vasectomy packages can be found on our website.
